CRM Dashboard Application

Project Overview

Our client is a powerful sales and marketing platform for Schools and other educational institutes. They have a web-based platform and were looking to expand the platform to mobile devices. They needed help from E2logy to build a mobile application which is an extended version of their CRM dashboard.

The proposed mobile application was essentially a dashboard for the school admin staff and is supposed to give them a quick overview of how their day looks like. The app should provide an idea about their tasks, events, and pending action items which will help them in managing their daily tasks and follow-ups. It is essentially a To-Do dashboard for the users.

Some of the primary requirements were:

  • The proposed mobile app should allow their customers i.e., school users to manage their daily routine easily.
  • The app should have an intuitive dashboard that provides a quick overview of the most important daily actions that the users have to cater to on a specific day.
  • The users can know about their daily events, tasks, tours, pending leads and other important aspects of their routine.
  • The mobile app aims to aid the users in better planning their day. The app will be built on top of client CRM platform’s APIs.

The challenge we faced

With the goal in mind, the challenge was to develop a way for users to organize their daily routine that would be simple and streamlined. Following are some of the issues encountered during development.

  • The primary challenge for the project was the integration with the client’s APIs to get the required data.
  • The team needed to build a middleware that can request the required data from the backend, process the data using algorithms and generate the required output.
  • It then needed to send this information to the mobile app which can show the output to the users.
  • The most challenging part in the whole process was understanding what’s important for the users to know and then presenting that information on the dashboard that helps them in managing their daily chores.

Solution we came up with

To gain a better understanding of the challenges, the team held several interactive meetings. In addition, several solution strategies were successfully implemented. They are briefly described as follows:

  • E2logy started the project with requirements gathering phase where E2logy’s Business Analyst team discussed the various aspects of the project with the client and prepared wireframes for the dashboards and wrote detailed user stories for each module.
  • Then a team of expert backend and mobile app developers were assigned to develop the solution.
  • The mobile app allows their customers i.e., school users to manage their daily routine easily.
  • The app has an intuitive dashboard that provides a quick overview of the most important daily actions that the users have to cater to on a specific day.
  • The users can know about their daily events, tasks, tours, pending leads and other important aspects of their routine.

The Result

The result was a dashboard mobile app that helped the users to effectively manage their day-to-day tasks. It also gave them instant access to the most important information that ultimately helped them to manage follow-up tasks and track progress with more confidence than they ever thought possible. The mobile app aided the users in better planning their day.
